How To Make A Kid Son Goku Costume
Son Goku is one of the main characters of the mythical manga and anime series Dragon Ball, popular among kids and adults alike. Dressing up as this character is a great idea for a cosplay festival or another type of fancy dress party. Also, it's an outfit that you can make yourself at home, both easily and quickly. In this OneHowTo article, we explain how to make a Son Goku costume for kids.
Steps to follow:
To make this outfit, the first thing that you need for your Son Goku costume is orange fabric. This character wears a jumpsuit, but we know that this garment is difficult to make, so an orange tank top and baggy pants will also work.
Cut the top so it makes a V shape.
Also, you'll need blue or violet-coloured fabric to make a belt tied at the waist, wrist and ankle bands.
We also need a T-shirt in the same or similar color as the belt, like the one Goku wears under his orange jumpsuit.
Next, you should draw a small circle with Chinese letters inside on a white cloth to wear on your chest and another one that should be the same but bigger to position on the back, so that your Son Goku costume is the same as this character's clothing.
You can sew it on or glue it with special fabric glue.
As a finishing touch, we recommend that you look for a wig with spiky hair; you might find actual Son Goku wigs in costume shops.
But if you don't, we recommend you use a long dark-haired wig and style it into spikes with hair gel. When you've got the desired shape we suggest using hair spray to make sure it sticks up and doesn't fall down.
For footwear, we recommend dark shoes that can even be lined with the same blue cloth that you used for your ankle bands, to look like Goku's boots.
With this fabric you can also create the cuffs like the ones you can see in the picture.
If you want to wear accessories, the best one would be: the Dragon Ball, you can make it yourself with a little yellow/orange ball or another round item, and add red stickers in the shape of stars.
Another great accessory you can make is the Flying Nimbus. You can easily make one with cardboard cutting out the shape and painting it yellow!
