Steps to follow:

1

To make a cat costume, first of all you need some black clothing. You have several options, choose a long-sleeved shirt and black trousers or leggings or go for a single garment like a black jumpsuit. Items should be tight and fit snugly to your figure, this will make the end result what we expect. Complete the outfit with shoes or boots in black.

Now is the time to include the cat's features to your fancy dress costume: the cat's tail. To make this at home easily a good option is to take a black stocking or leotard, cut it to the size you want, fill it with cotton wool and finally sew it to the back of the black trousers. If you want a feminine touch to your costume you can sew, for example, a red bow at the end of the tail.

And of course you cannot forget the cat ears. If you want to make them yourself you can do so using cardboard or go for a slightly more elaborate and original design and make them with felt. To do this, model them with the pattern that we show you in the picture, put the paper ears on the black felt and cut them twice over and then glue them to the headband. Cut smaller ears in pink felt and glue these on top of the black ears. Then place the black ears on the headband, folding them in half and sew the edges so that they are secure.

The last step to complete your amazing homemade cat costume is make up. There are many types of make up you can wear, but for a very feline look we recommend making a black outline to mark the eyes, apply make up to the tip of the nose in black and, above all, draw whiskers with a black pen. To highlight the lips, follow the outline with a black eye liner and paint them with bright red lipstick.
