Steps to follow:

Using the red felt we will at first create Peppa Pig’s red dress.

Measure you child and determine the length of dress. Spread the felt on a plain surface and then cut the felt lengthwise. Make sure that you cut double the length recorded by you because you need to make both the front and back of the dress.

For example, if the measurement of your child is 26” then you need to cut 52” out of the 2 yard red felt.

Fold the felt in half. Now take out your child’s tank top and keep it on the felt. The folded felt will be the place where neck and arm region of the tank top should be placed.

Then trace the armpit and the neck area.

In the armpit area make another line on the outside and beside the trace with half an inch gap between both lines. Take a scissor and cut along the line drawn outside. Using the scissor also cut off the neck hole.

Now cut the dress lengthwise so that it is in the form of an A-line dress. Then sew down each side of this A-line dress. Start sewing from the armpit and go down till the bottom of the dress. When one side is done, repeat the same on the other side.

If you are not a fan of sewing then you can use hot glue to glue both sides of the felt.

Once the red dress is done, attach the pig tail at the back side of the dress. If you haven't got one you can easily make your own at home. Use around 6 12'' pipe cleaners and twist them together. Then, cover with two identical pieces of pink fabric, one on each side and sew them together.

Ask your little one to wear the pink slacks and the pink jumper/ t-shirt. Then put on the red felt dress. The next thing you must do is put on the piggy hair band for Peppa Pig's ears and attach the pig nose on her ear using the elastic band.

Let her wear a black, white or pink ballerina shoe. If it's cold, we advise you to also use a pair of pink tights that match the jumper to match Peppa Pig's leg color.

For the final touch let's take a look at the makeup. Use a peachy-pink foundation for a more natural-looking face or use face paints to cover the face in pink. Apply some pink blush to her cheeks in two big blotches, as Peppa's cheeks are bright red. Apply a touch of lipstick if you want, though it's not needed. A touch of pink eyeshadow is also recommended if you haven't painted your face in pink.

Alternatively, you can also make a Peppa Pig mask out of cardboard. This way, you won't have to use a pig nose or ears. The drawing is pretty simple so you shouldn't have much problems drawing the silhouette, eyes, mouth and nose.

Your daughter or you will be ready to enjoy the day dressed as beloved Peppa Pig.
