Steps to follow:

1

To make this homemade Christmas snow-globe you need the following materials:

  • Glass jar with screw lid.
  • Water.
  • White glitter or glitter in the colour of your choice.
  • Glycerin, you can buy this in any pharmacy.
  • Hot silicone and a hot glue gun to manipulate it.
  • The decorative elements you want to put in the snow-globe: a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, a snowman, etc.

Note that the objects you put in your snow globe should be plastic or ceramic, otherwise the water may end up damaging them.

2

The first step to make a homemade snow globe is to wash the glass jar. In the event that this has a label it will be important to scratch it off completely, something you can easily do by immersing the bottle in hot water for several minutes.

Thoroughly dry the container and cover and get ready to start working. Start by choosing the décor that will go in the snow-globe. You can opt for something fun if it is for a child, or choose the classic Christmas characters like Santa Claus, a reindeer, a snowman, a Christmas tree, a snow-covered house or any decoration you like as your imagination is the only limit!

3

Once you are clear on how you will decorate your homemade snow globe it is time to paste the objects that you will use. Attach them to the glass jar lid using hot silicone, a material that will allow you to stick it perfectly and remain unaffected by the water. Before glueing the objects, you should first try seeing up the scene on the lid. Paste it only when you are satisfied with the distribution of the objects.

It goes without saying that the décor you choose should fit perfectly onto the lid and also in the bottle, do not choose any decorative object that is too wide or long or you will not get the desired final effect. When you have everything measured up then proceed to glue using the glue gun and then leave to dry for at least 1 hour to make sure everything is well stuck.
