Halloween finger sandwich

Remove crusts from the bread and flatten it with a rolling pin. Spread some cream cheese and margarine on the bread, and roll them up in the shape of fingers. Make knuckles with the help of a blunt knife. Trim the ends and stick an almond on each finger to look like nails. On the other end, add some strawberry jam to look like blood.

Halloween spider cupcakes

For each spider cupcake, frost one cupcake and press a couple of candy eyeballs in the frosting. Spread chocolate chips in a bowl and press the frosted sides of the cupcakes into it until covered. Adjust the chocolate chips and the eyeballs as required. Cut some licorice laces and poke them in the cupcakes to make the 8 legs of the spider. Refrigerate and serve to make cute, spooky spider cupcakes for Halloween.

Halloween cookies

Preheat oven to 375F (190.5 Celcius) and line one baking tray with a greaseproof paper. Beat the sugar and butter together, and add vanilla extract and egg to it. Stir in some flour to make dough with the mixture. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1cm, and cut the cookies in the shape of attractive Halloween figures, like bats, webs, spiders, pumpkins, skeleton faces or others. You may also write Halloween related text on them, like RIP, boo, eek etc. Bake for 10 minutes and cool. Use food colors to decorate the cookies as per your personal liking.

Monster mouths

Take fruit flavored fruit roll ups, and wrap each on an apple slice. Spread one side of all apple slices with peanut butter, take two apple slices together and arrange miniature marshmallows between them in the form of teeth. Squeeze the slices together and they will look like monster mouths with badly shaped, giant teeth.

Banana ghosts and orange pumpkins

Peel some bananas and cut them into halves. Cut the bananas in such a way that they can stand on a level surface. Use a toothpick to dig a small hole in the bananas and fix chocolate chips in them to make eyes and mouth. Now peel some oranges and poke a piece of celery on their tops. These will serve as healthy and tasty snacks that your Halloween party guests will love.

Creepy pumpkin soup

Heat pumpkin, thyme, peppercorns, salt, stock and garlic in a pan, let it boil, and let it simmer on low heat for 30 minutes without cover. Use a blender or food processor to puree the soup. Return to the pan, boil again and let it simmer for another 30 minutes without cover. Pour in heavy cream and garnish with parsley. Presentation is very important for this recipe, as you can make it spooky by serving it in a hollow pumpkin and placing it along with other spooky Halloween foods.
